Paths

You walk a path with heavy chains, two roads, one taken not by choice but by necessity. This road is rocky, this road blisters your walking soul, but you continue. This road seems never-ending, the deeper you go into it the more it traps you the more it loses you the more it tires you. Your weakened knees eventually buckle, so you must fall. You must fall but you will get up, you must get up. You should get up.

No road in this world goes on forever, eventually you will hit the edge. Will you take the leap of want and faith or will you turn to walk upon that rocky blistering road once again.

  1. surely the leap where wings unfurl is better in the fall
than the blisters the walk makes…

  2. I believe that all roads ends in Heaven.I do not want to thing that God wants us to do unending walks..With a little faith we will continiue walking in Paradise.
    Be blessed!

      • No, I’m the one who thanks you here. It’s one of my favorite poem as well. In fact, I got this poem at college and its profound meaning had helped me out through the difficult situations when choosing the road I was taking by then. And now with your post, all the memories are coming back. So thank you again! πŸ™‚
